Software Engineer - Open Sustainability Institute
Emily currently works as a Software Engineer at the Open Sustainability Institute and mentors at Thinkful, an online code school. She's the founder of the Django Girls Kampala chapter and also one of the Developer members of the Django Software Foundation.

InnovateHer Africa (IHA) is a Non Profit that uses technology to empower girls and women through many wide array of programs such as trainings, internships and community.
Three main things define InnovateHer Africa: Women - Innovation - Africa.
We believe in nurturing and creating spaces that encourage free thought, audacious ideas and the pure joy of intellectual curiosity will produce technologists and solutions that continuously push the boundary of what's possible in different technological sectors.
We believe technology will play a key role in continually elevating all sectors of the economy.
We are passionate about getting African female technologists at the forefront of this technological revolution as we believe this development will be achieved through diversity.
Our mission is to create funnel programs that engage women at several stages on their educational path. At a junior level, to spark interest and passion for technology; At a professional level, to build industry ready skillsets.
